I was lucky enough to be tagged in this fun Spring post by one of my favourite bloggers, Jacquelyn from Little Scottish Corner. I loved reading her answers and couldn’t wait to give it a go!
1) What eye palette will you use most this spring?
I recently purchased a new Sleek eyeshadow palette, which was such good value and contained some really gorgeous earthy greens and purples. I hope to branch out from my little neutrals box and experiment more with colour!
I might try and upload a Spring look using this palette if any of you guys are interested?
I’m also planning on uploading a review of it with swatches :).
2)What blusher in your collection is a Spring must? And what about lipstick too?
Topshop cream blush is the BOMB. I am literally crazy about it, and will choose it over other blushes 99% of the time. The colour Afternoon Tea is perfect for Spring. I also think Benefit’s Dandelion blush is a great choice, as it is girlie but still delicate and subtle.
3)What nail polish do you love to wear in Spring?
Pastels have to be one of the most exciting Spring trends each year. I am loving wearing the Barry M silk collection at the moment, especially the pastel green colour Meadow, which you can see in my last OOTD post here.
4)What is on your Spring break agenda?
I’m guessing Spring break is just the American for Easter holidays? I break up from university this Friday, and am SO excited to get home. I have a few plans with my friends from home who I haven’t seen for forever. I’m also looking forward to spending loads of time with my boyfriend, as he goes to a different university and I don’t get to see a lot of him. On a down note though, I have 5 exams coming next month which I am absolutely dreading, so I’m hoping it’ll be sunny enough to work outside so revision isn’t too painful!
5)What trends are you looking forward to- fashion nail polish make up etc?
I love florals. How cliche is that? Florals for Spring… who’d have thunk it. I’m also anticipating regaining my tan back, as I’m part Asian so I tan quite well.
6)What is your signature Spring scent?
I’m probably going to sound like a broken record here, because I’m always going on about these two things. I adore Benefit’s perfume because it’s really girlie, sweet, fun and not too grown up. My favourite is in the scent Sofia. Also, I don’t tend to wear perfume everyday in Spring because it might come across as a bit heavy. For days like this, I would recommend one of The Body Shop’s body mists. They are delicioussssss. I am addicted to the Satsuma and Moringa scents. I really want to try the grapefruit one too, as I think it’d smell so fresh and sharp and I don’t own any fragrance like that yet.
7)Do you have a Spring skincare regime?
It’s still SO cold in England during Spring, so I keep up with the moisturising and face masks and all that good stuff. I would say that I wear less make-up though, as its not as harsh as winter and I’m less red and disgusting feeling.
8)What is Spring like where you live?
Usually cold and rainy and windy. I’m in Norwich for university, and it is always so windy and my hair goes cray and I get earache. It’s less bad in London though because you’re not on the coast and it’s a more built up area. At the moment both places look absolutely gorgeous as trees and flowers are in bloom and I think daffodils are just beautiful. I’m living in a fairly rural area at uni too, so it makes me so happy to see all the baby bunnies and colourful butterflies and ponies.
9)Florals, got to have them or make them stop?
When you’re a girlie girl like me, florals are a must.
10)Favourite activity to do in the Spring?
I’ve taken to playing football outside with my boyfriend. I am absolutely rubbish and tend to run away from the ball, but I am really enjoying spending more time outside.
Thanks for reading guys, I thoroughly enjoyed doing this tag and I’m excited to hear some of your answers.
I’d like to tag everyone reading this to complete the tag & post your responses in a link in the comments 🙂
