Lush Cupcake Review

As I’m sure most people are aware, it’s dreaded exam season. I’ve been such a stress-ball which has led to my skin breaking out and me looking thoroughly exhausted. For this reason, I’ve been treating myself to some pampering session therapy, and have been absolutely loving the Lush ‘Cupcake’ face mask.

First of all, I’d like to say that the smell of this product is like cake mix and is so indulgent that it gives you a pick me up straight away (try your best to refrain from licking it off your own face). It applies smoothly over the skin and you don’t need heaps of it to get the job done.

It is such an easy stage in your skincare routine to do 1-2 times per week. All you have to do is apply a layer of the mask onto your skin and leave it for 10-15 minutes. I like to take this time to have a nice cup of tea and enjoy the relaxation. When the time is up, simply wash it off to reveal super soft and clean skin.

As I’ve been breaking out, I thought I would try this mask because it claims to draw impurities out of the skin and provide a deep cleanse. I can honestly say that it has cleared up my skin. The cocoa butter element of the mask has also made my skin so soft and moisturised (I have super dry skin so I’ve been loving it). Although ‘Cupcake’ is meant for people with oily skin, as it removes dirt and tones your complexion, it has worked on my dry-combination skin so well. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has blemishes on their skin, as it has really helped to clear mine up.

Even my boyfriend loves this face mask as a treat, and enjoys making me look like Conchita from Eurovision with a beard and moustache. (Attractive pair aren’t we).
