Coming at you with a mini review and haul post today. I haven’t tried many L’Oreal products before (apart from their amazing eyeshadows) as none of them have really jumped out at me. Avid readers of my blog will know about my lip product addiction, especially when it comes to liquid lipsticks.
I spotted this gorgeous vintage looking dusty pink colour and couldn’t say no. I’m a sucker for a nicely named product, and this one was in the shade ‘Rose Melody’, which sounded so cute. A long similar lines of my irrelevant love for gimmicks, I really enjoy the product packaging. The sleek gold YSL look feels really luxurious and I like how you can see the colour of the product easily.
As practicality goes, I have been loving the look of Rose Melody. I don’t have a similar shade in my collection. I’m not really a nude lips lover, but this is a good compromise. It’s very wearable but still adds some interest to the look. Although if you’re not into having sparkles or shine on your lips, you might not love the effect as much as me. The formula doesn’t set as seamlessly onto the lips as the magical Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvets, but still feels comfortable and is relatively long-wearing.

It is a buy one get one half price offer in Boots at the moment, and I like to trick myself into thinking I’m saving money. The observant of you will realise I just finished my beloved Supercat liner (which you can see reviewed in my empties post here). Black eyeliner is one of the most important aspects of my make-up routine, so this was a more practical purchase. I’m a big fan of the Eyeko and Soap and Glory liners but I’ve heard so many good things about the L’Oreal Super Liners and I have to say I’m not disappointed.
The brush of the liner is super fine which makes for really easy application. I like that the formula is very black but contains a subtle shimmer. It is a bit more unusual than your bog standard liner and the glitter particles make things look less harsh around the eyes. It stayed put all day without smudging, despite the fact I rub my eyes constantly. I was really impressed and I’d recommend grabbing one if you need a new liquid liner (and it’s great for newbie eyeliner appliers because of the fool-proof nib).
I hope you guys found this post useful and enjoyed it 🙂 I’m really glad I’ve got back into the swing of blogging again! Thanks so much for sticking with me & I hope you have an amazing week.
