My Go To Palettes

As much as I drool over countless palettes (and own a fair few that I don’t even use), I always find myself coming back to these two. I’m not the best at applying eyeshadow – and at times my attempts at a smoky eye look like I’ve been in a fight. Despite this, the shadows in these palettes have such a creamy and blendable texture that are really easy to work with. If you’re first getting into wearing eyeshadow, or just find it difficult to apply, these neutral shades are the perfect starting point.

The Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette contains 12 neutral cool-toned shadows, with 3 matte and 9 shimmer shades. What I love about them is that you can create a really neutral day-time look or really amp up the volume with a dark smoky eye for the evening. I find that all of the shades are flattering and I get use out of all of them (which is rare for an eyeshadow palette containing this amount of eyeshadows).

Shock horror that this isn’t even my eyeshadow palette (it’s my sisters which I spent months stealing when I was living at home – and now I have been forced to buy my own). I think I might even prefer the LORAC pro palette to my Naked 2. What I love about the shades is that they all go together. I would never normally dream of putting a deep red colour on my lids, but the unusual combo really works. I think that Garnet is my favourite shade in the entire palette!

Apologies that this is a bit of a brief post, but I thought I’d share two of my absolute favourite make-up items! What are your favourite palettes? I would love to hear your recommendations 🙂

  1. These used to be my go to palettes too, more of the Lorac one actually, but ever since I got the Viseart matte palette, I haven’t looked back.
