The count-down to Christmas is almost upon us and it’s safe to say I’m more than a little bit excited (I’ve already cracked out the Michael Buble Christmas album, drank too many gingerbread lattes and transformed our student house into a santas grotto). For those of you who want to add some extra festive fun to December, I thought I’d compile a list of my top 5 alternative advent calenders. There’s a bit of booze, beauty and relaxation in there (and what more could you want from life?!)
1) Topshop Jewellery Christmas Calender
This little beauty contains loads of gorgeous necklaces, earnings and charm bracelets. I’m in love with delicate-looking jewellery and it looks like there’s some really cute pieces in here. It’s quite a good price-point too at only £25.
Grab one from Topshop here.
2) Yankee Candle Advent Calender
This is another really reasonably priced advent calender (especially considering the amazing quality of Yankee Candles). The set includes 23 little tealights in festive scents such as Candy Cane Lane, Christmas Garland, Sugared Apple and Spiced Orange. In the 24th window there is a votive sized ‘Christmas Eve’ calender which will be sure to carry you through to an amazing Christmas! You can pick one up here.
3) Jo Malone Advent Calender
Owning a Jo Malone advent calender is probably the most indulgent way to countdown to Christmas ever. I can only dream that I win the lottery or get whisked away by a rich Prince in order to be able to get my hands on one of these next year! This extravagant set is packed full of mini colognes and nourishing Body Crèmes. I can only imagine how exciting trying out all the new scents each day would be. If you’re feeling a bit naughty, you can browse through the Jo Malone Christmas collection here.
4) Mini Mani Manor, Ciate Advent Calnder
Ciate nail-polishes are some of my all time favourites. Throw in some festive sparkly shades and that makes me even more excited. Treating yourself to a cute little manicure is a great way to get yourself into the Christmas spirit. If you’re fickle with nail-colour like I am, buying mini nail polishes is great because you can try out loads of different colours without breaking the bank (too much).
5) Beer Advent Calender
I must admit I do love the look of this cute Christmas tree advent calender (and then realising it is stuffed full of mini bottles of beer just made me even more excited). The Best of British Beer Advent Calendar contains 24 different bottles of seasonal beers including craft beers and some festive ales to get you in the Christmassy mood!
And that concludes my top 5 alternative advent calenders! Are you guys in the festive mood yet? Have you bought an advent calender? Leave me a comment below and make my day 🙂
