When it comes to hair, I hate putting in loads of time and effort, but I still want it to look good. I love to wash it and leave my hair to prevent heat damage maintain its length and healthiness. My hair is naturally curly so I like to embrace the messy look by running through texturising products. I thought I’d share my favourites with you guys!
First up is the VO5 ‘Give Me Texture’ Tousled Style Spray. I love how you can achieve a really beachy feel to your hair without breaking the bank. My only gripe with this product is that it’s a bit sticky and you can feel it when you spray it in your hair. The upside to this is that it really holds your hair in place as well as providing you with texture. Another great thing about this product is that it contains heat defence. Even though I don’t tend to use heat on my hair, when I touch up the curls at the front of my hair my VO5 spray really does the job. Spritzing a bit of the product through holds the curls in place, protects my from damage, and gives the hair a tousled texture.
Next up, a bit more of a pricey option, but totally worth the money in my opinion. I absolutely love using Bumble & Bumble’s ‘Texture’. You run it through damp hair and it amazing for adding a bit of grit and volume. If I want extra-oomph at the roots I run a small bit through my scalp, which looks amazing and doesn’t irritate the skin. I like how the product doesn’t have a shiny finish to it, so for those of you with oily hair it wont make it look greasy.
Both of these products work great on freshly washed hair, but I definitely want to try more styling texturising products. I’ve got my eye on the affordable Charles Worthington Volume & Bounce or the much hyped but excruciatingly high-end Oribe Dry Texturising Spray.
