Some of you guys may have noticed that I’ve fallen off the radar & dropped the writing ball recently. I thought I’d ease my way back into the blogosphere with a little life update as the past month has been one of the most hectic in my lifetime.
First and foremost, I just graduated from the University of East Anglia with a 2:1! It felt very bitter-sweet walking out of the graduation hall – part of me felt elated that my hard work had payed off, but in the back of my mind I was terrified at the prospect of being released into the big bad world.Me on my first day of university!
University really was life-changing for me & I thoroughly enjoyed it (especially all the antics as a fresher). I was able to spend three years honing my academic skills and studying two subjects that I absolutely adored. The thing I found most valuable was how living away from home matured me as a person – I still have a long way to go though, haha! At 17, I didn’t like doing anything by myself & even the prospect of walking to the shops alone made me feel anxious. Four years on, I am more confident in my abilities and don’t think I would struggle too much if I had to live on my own.
Since graduation, I have been working with children at a summer camp. It’s completely exhausting but I really enjoy it and I’ve made a lot of great friends. Now that my summer job is drawing to a close, I am going through the scary task of trying to find full-time employment. I’m not the sort of person that is able to sit around at home so I really hope that something comes up soon. Until then (and of course when I have a job), my main focus is putting more time into improving my blog. Writing is my passion and I’m excited to throw myself back into it. I’m aiming to upload posts at least every other day in September so make sure you click the follow button if you haven’t already!
Apologies for this rambly post, I hope that it makes some sense! What have you guys been up to in the past month? Let me know in the comments below 🙂
